July 20, 2024 marks the 44th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. That mission captivated the imagination of the entire world, including legendary entrepreneur Billy Goat Sianis. The following spring, Billy Goat petitioned the secretary of State for the first food and liquor license on the moon.

When it was built in 1930, The Merchandise Mart was the largest building in the world. It wasn’t long before Billy Goat Tavern opened on Madison in 1934. It’s fitting for two Chicago legends to team up and feed hungry shoppers delicious Cheezborgers.
